What you'll be doing
- A Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field in line with Level 3 of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award.
- Substantial experience and high level understanding of child protection dynamics, including the legislative context.
- Ability to apply advanced problem solving and analytical skills in relation to child protection and wellbeing risk appraisal and decision making.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including sound ability with questioning, coaching, negotiation, conflict resolution, team collaboration and developing professional relationships within and across agencies.
- Sound knowledge of the NSW health sector, support, referral and resource options for vulnerable children, young people and families.
- Demonstrated experience in accurate documentation and in working across databases and computer software applications.
- Commitment to actively working as part of a team by demonstrating adherence to values such as accountability, ethical practice, collaboration and trustworthiness in an environment of high and competing demands.
