What you'll be doing
The Child Safe Project Manager provides leadership and delivers relevant strategic and operational advice on planning and implementation of the NSW Health Child Safe Standards across NSLHD with the aim of creating a strong organisational culture of child and youth safety that considers the diverse needs of children and young people across the district. The role will be responsible for building district wide awareness of the legislated requirements for child safe organisations, supporting the development of local Implementation plans which align with the NSW Health Child Safe Action Plan and for providing leadership, oversight and monitoring progress and compliance. The role will lead quality improvement projects and awareness raising campaigns designed to improve the district workforce capacity to prevent, identify and response to child abuse and neglect.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Health related tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive health experience in a Quality and Safety Management, Senior Project Management or Senior Management role.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Child Safe Standards, and requirements for implementation including risk management and risk mitigation approaches, along with a working knowledge of legislation and NSW Health policies pertaining to child protection and child wellbeing.
- Extensive experience in providing high level leadership and strategic advice with implementation and evaluation of Standards. Understanding and proven ability to affect change utilising change management skills.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to facilitate, lead and support committees, working groups, education sessions, collaborative workshops and/or focus groups across a complex organisation.
