We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Management Accountant to play a pivotal leadership role within Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare while driving financial sustainability and performance excellence.
About the Opportunity
The Senior Management Accountant (SMA) will work closely with the Manager, Management Accounting in delivering high quality financial leadership across the district. This is more than a technical accounting role, it is a strategic leadership opportunity where your insights will directly influence operational performance, long-term planning, and system-wide sustainability.
You will contribute directly to achieving the LHD’s annual priorities, strategic objectives, and sustainability goals - ensuring every dollar supports better health outcomes for our community. In this role you will:
- Lead and inspire the Business Partner team to deliver accurate, timely and insight-driven financial reporting that supports District-wide decision-making.
- Provide high-level analysis across finance, activity, FTE and performance metrics, translating complex data into clear strategic advice.
- Coordinate and strengthen the District’s budgeting and financial planning processes, aligning activity, capital and sustainability priorities.
- Partner with executives, managers and external stakeholders to improve financial performance, manage risk and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or a related discipline, with full membership of (or progress toward) a recognised Australian professional accounting body.
- Proven senior management accounting experience within a complex organisation.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence influencing at executive level.
