About the Opportunity

This position is based in a hospital outpatient audiology service providing clinical assessment to paediatric and adult patients. The successful applicant must demonstrate proven experience and confidence in independently assessing paediatric patients (from10months through school age) as well as adults, without the need for direct clinical supervision.

In this role you will:

  • Perform comprehensive paediatric and adult behavioural and objective (OAEs) assessments including complex paediatric cases with developmental and/or behavioural challenges.
  • Exercise advanced clinical reasoning and independent professional judgement in case management and decision-making.

  • Identify, plan, implement, evaluate, and report on continuous improvement initiatives to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Masters Degree in Clinical Audiology and eligibility for full Membership of Audiology Australia, the Australian College of Audiology or other qualification deemed equivalent by CCLHD.
  • Demonstrated, recent experience in conducting paediatric behavioural audiological assessment in a hospital or comparable clinical setting including VROA (single person) CPA and PTA.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct clinical supervision, but also effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Advanced reasoning and problem solving skills, effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload while applying professional and ethical boundaries.
