This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

We are seeking a kind, collaborative Registered Nurse or Midwife with recent acute neonatal experience to join our friendly, high-performing unit. About the Role

We are seeking a kind, collaborative Registered Nurse or Midwife with recent acute neonatal experience to join our friendly, high-performing unit. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of nursing care, tailored to meet the diverse needs and expectations of each patient and their family.

In this role, you will provide safe, competent care aligned with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards, including neonatal resuscitation and emergency response.You will coordinate nursing interventions, promote breastfeeding, and supervise student midwives to support quality outcomes. With a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team that’s passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a real difference in the lives of families.

About You

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recent neonatal experience in an actue hospital setting
  • Passionate about providing safe, compassionate, and family centred care to (newborns) neonates and their families.
  • Confident in your ability to respond to neonatal emergencies and perform resuscitation when required.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment where trust and communication are key
  • A strong advocate for breastfeeding support and parental education.
