Our Mental Health unit fosters a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing environment. As a Registered Nurse, Mental Health you'll play a vital role within the multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients and clients across the health service. They also take on leadership responsibilities by guiding, overseeing, and supporting other nursing staff including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing. To ensure the provision of high-quality, patient-centred care.

About the Role

Registered Nurses deliver safe, competent, and person-centred care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. They perform nursing interventions within their scope to support patients in achieving health and wellbeing goals, while coordinating care to ensure positive outcomes. This includes comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, alongside accurate documentation in electronic systems to meet legal and clinical requirements.

Working within a collaborative care model, Registered Nurses communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure care is responsive and aligned with individual needs. They also engage in ongoing professional development and performance review, while supervising and delegating tasks to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing in accordance with their qualifications and scope of practice, promoting high-quality, team-based care.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
