About You

AHPRA-registered with clinical experience in mental health nursing, ideally in acute settings
Motivated to develop your expertise and attain certification in mental health nursing

Confident in managing complex nursing needs, conducting risk assessments and delivering trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care
A natural communicator and collaborator who puts patients at the centre of care

About the Role

Join our dedicated and specialised team at Gosford Hospital’s Mental Health Inpatient Unit, a unit that plays a critical role in supporting adults through acute mental health crises. This is more than just another RN job. You’ll be part of a deeply passionate, highly skilled team that works collaboratively to deliver expert care for those who need it most.

As a Mental Health RN, you will:

Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and provide hands-on clinical care
Lead and mentor junior staff within the unit, fostering a learning and supportive environment
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, allied health, and nursing staff to provide wraparound care
Be part of a unit that values evidence-based practice, kindness, teamwork and patient dignity
Work a rotating roster within a 24/7 acute care environment
