With one application, you’ll be considered for all current Registered Nurse opportunities across Gosford and Woy Woy Hospitals across acute services with both temporary and permanent positions available.

We offer full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary contracts (including short-term contracts from 6 months and maternity relief). Most inpatient units operate on a 24/7 rotating roster with 8- or 10-hour shift patterns.

Current Opportunities

Surgical

Pre- and postoperative care in a high-volume, supportive team environment. Surgical specialities include General, Acute, Gynaecology, Plastics, Breast & Endocrine, Upper GI, Orthopaedic, Vascular and Colorectal.

Neurology & Acute Stroke

Platinum status by the World Stroke Organisation. Fast paced, high learning, strong support for your competency development and education.

Medical Assessment Unit

Rapid assessment/short stay (most <72 h), plus general medicine. Multidisciplinary team working with you to enhance patient flow, supported preceptors, clinical nurse educator and consultant available.

Cardiac Services - Inpatient and Cath Lab

Provide advanced cardiac care including catheter lab procedures, coronary imaging, complex PCI, STEMI on-call, and electrophysiology. A dynamic environment where critical thinking, monitoring skills, and continuous learning are supported.

Oncology & Haematology

A compassionate environment focused on cancer/haematology care. Strong mentorship, ongoing education, specialist training, and opportunity to thrive whether you’re early or experienced in this specialty.

Respiratory, Endocrine & Gastroenterology

Emphasis on clinical excellence, patient-centred care, career growth, and education support. Great environment if you're looking to specialise or broaden in internal medicine.

Acute Geriatrics

Acute Geriatrics provides specialised, multidisciplinary care for older patients admitted with complex medical conditions, frailty, or multiple comorbidities. The focus is on safe, evidence-based treatment, optimising function, and supporting recovery to maintain independence and quality of life.

Renal and Mixed Oncology

Staff are supported by a team of Medical Clinical Nurse Educators, with a number of educational opportunities offered including Peritoneal dialysis, Central lines cares, management of drains and catheters, and managing complex patients. Staff education days on specialities are also offered throughout the year.

Intensive Care Unit (Temporary opportunities available)

About You 

  • Current AHPRA registration, valid work rights in Australia with at least 2 years clinical experience in Australia. 

  • You bring recent clinical nursing experience. Even if it’s outside your preferred specialty, your core skills matter and we’ll help you transition and grow in your chosen area. 

  • Strong communication, sound clinical judgement, and critical thinking are your strengths. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and value nurse-to-nurse learning and peer development. 

  • Able to work in teams across shifts and adaptable to a 24/7 model including nights and weekends. 

  • You value ongoing learning and development, and you’re open to gaining experience across different areas of acute care.

  • A commitment to patient-centred care, standard setting and collaboration.
