Wyong Hospital's Emergency Department is a dynamic and essential service that provides high-quality care to a diverse patient population every day. We are proud of our strong team culture and the exceptional support offered to all staff - especially those new to the department and specialty.
Our ED operates as a truly multidisciplinary unit, where collaboration is key. Each shift is led by a Nurse Unit Manager and you’ll be supported by a skilled team including Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and a wide range of allied health professionals. This includes social workers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, administration staff, and our dedicated patient support service team who all work together to ensure safe, seamless, and patient-centred care.
At the leadership level, the department benefits from the guidance of a Nurse Manager, and Medical Directors. Together, they foster a cohesive and forward-thinking work environment focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
We’re excited about implementing safe staffing levels within our ED, which will ensure the provision of safe and timely care, improve patient outcomes, and support workforce sustainability.
Wyong ED offers a 12-hour shift profile, with both full time and part time positions available to suit your lifestyle and career goals.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a real impact - those who are driven to deliver best-practice care and committed to the principles of the Central Coast Local Health District’s (CCLHD) vision: Trusted Care: Better Health for Everyone.
You’ll be encouraged and supported to pursue professional development, with access to ongoing education and training opportunities relevant to emergency care.
Our accelerated transition to specialty program including skills in venepuncture and cannulation, ECAT accreditation and ALS competency.
