About the Opportunity
As a Pharmacy Assistant you will provide pharmaceutical distribution, delivery, inventory management and operational support, for a wide range of services across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
This position plays a key role in ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care to patients and staff. In this role you will:
Manage and handle medicines including drug distribution and dispensing and inventory management to ensure effective medicines management for patients in compliance with pharmacy and hospital guidelines, protocols and procedures, NSW Health legislation and National Standards.
Identify medication issues that may cause harm or risk to patients and/or staff and report to appropriate pharmacist/Team Leader/Manager.
Develop individual knowledge and skills through supporting and participating in the pharmacy department programs.
Undertake administrative/clerical duties when requested or required in daily operations.
Provide high quality customer service when interacting with patients, staff and visitors of CCLHD.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
A qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or Certificate III in Community Pharmacy.
Demonstrated understanding of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated high quality customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
Ability to learn quickly, accepting responsibility and accountability for accurate completion of tasks.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail.
