About the Opportunity

As a Patient Support Assistant, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the patient journey across clinical and non-clinical areas. Your role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming healthcare environment, while also providing practical support to patients and clinical staff.

  • Supporting patients with a range of care-related activities, including assisting with mobility, washing, bathing, and showering as directed.
  • Transporting patients safely for healthcare services, transfers, and discharge.
  • Providing support during emergency calls, evacuations, patient transfers, and helipad operations.
  • Assisting clinical staff with a range of tasks that support safe and effective patient care.
  • Providing mortuary services, including assisting with the care and transportation of deceased patients.
  • Using technology and computer systems to complete administrative tasks and support service delivery.
  • Providing respectful, compassionate, and professional customer service to patients, families, staff, visitors, and other stakeholders.

If you are reliable, compassionate, team-focused, and motivated to make a meaningful contribution to the patient experience, we would love to hear from you.

For more information about this role, please view the Position Description.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, including in sensitive or confronting situations.
  • Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning and/or a healthcare environment, with a commitment to following documented processes, taking direction, and completing tasks safely and effectively.
  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, organise workflows, and contribute to shared team goals.
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn and adapt, including experience using Microsoft Office packages and the resilience and professionalism to respond calmly to changing environments.

Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.
