About the Opportunity
As an Occupational Therapist Level 1, you will provide a high quality clinical service to clients/patients/ consumers and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for clients/patients/ consumers of the Occupational Therapy service.
This is a 2 year temporary contract consisting of 12 months in acute inpatients and 12 months in rehabilitation.
This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the overall patient experience. In this role you will:
- Provide client/patient/consumer centred care and clinical recommendations to them, their families/carers, and other health care professionals.
- Exercise professional judgement for the clinical assessment and management of clients/patients/consumers referred based on level of experience and seek support from more experienced clinicians as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, as directed by senior clinician, to enhance service delivery and client/patient/consumer outcomes.
- Ensure client/patient/consumer care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualification as an Occupational Therapist with current Registration with AHPRA.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, appropriate to communicate with patients, carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Sound clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions for optimal clinical outcomes for the patient and carer.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice and continuous improvement.
