We’re seeking a Local Roster Administrator (LRA) who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about continuous improvement, and has a solid foundation in HealthRoster systems and NSW Health Award interpretation.

About the Role

As the Local Roster Administrator, you will:
  • Provide expert advice on best-practice rostering principles and support the resolution of rostering issues that affect staffing outcomes and compliance.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for identifying and mitigating system risks related to award interpretation and payroll compliance.
  • Build and nurture collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Roster Managers, eHealth, the Ministry of Health, and other Local Health Districts.
  • Lead rostering quality assurance activities, including pay file governance, retrospective adjustments, and interface support with payroll systems.
  • Drive and support capability uplift through training and tailored support, working closely with the Rostering Improvement Lead and wider Establishment, Rostering & Analytics team.

Champion continuous improvement through contribution to policy development, intranet resources, and rostering best practices aligned with state-wide strategies.

About You

You will be a rostering professional who is solutions-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives on improving systems and practices. You will bring:

  • Significant experience with HealthRoster or similar workforce management platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of NSW Health Awards, rostering capability frameworks, and industrial instruments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data and recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and the impact of rostering decisions on employee entitlements and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in identifying capability gaps and providing tailored advice and training.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a focus on achieving shared goals and supporting strategic initiatives.
