As the Team Leader Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL), you'll be pivotal in coordinating, developing, implementing and the evaluation of evidence-based and innovative health promotion programs designed to enhance HEAL across the Central Coast community.

About the Role

This role involves representing the Central Coast Health Promotion Service (CCHPS) at various forums to influence health promotion strategies and service development for the Central Coast population. It includes contributing to strategic planning, advising leadership, setting priorities, and ensuring equity in program delivery.

The position oversees the management and evaluation of HEAL programs, ensuring alignment with health directives and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, maintaining current knowledge of health promotion trends, and managing HEAL staff through supervision, performance reviews, and recruitment. Additionally, the role requires building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support chronic disease prevention and enhance HEAL initiatives.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification requiring a minimum of three years study (in health, social science or related field) will be highly regarded, and/or extensive work experience with relevance to leadership in population health.
  • A current valid unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with internal and external program partners to achieve successful program implementation and sustainability.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and line managing, motivating and coordinating professional staff working in an action oriented multidisciplinary team with a population health focus.
