Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Mental Health In-Patient Services at Wyong Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a skilled, confident and capable nursing workforce while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for consumers experiencing mental health challenges.
About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in supporting the education, professional development and clinical capability of nursing staff across the Mental Health In-Patient Services.
You will:
- Develop, coordinate and evaluate education and professional development programs.
- Support the orientation, induction and ongoing development of nursing staff.
- Provide clinical education, coaching and mentorship to nurses across a range of experience levels.
- Promote contemporary, evidence-based mental health nursing practice.
- Work collaboratively with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and strengthen clinical capability.
- Support quality improvement, clinical governance and initiatives that enhance patient safety and consumer outcomes.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages reflective practice, professional growth and excellence in nursing care.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with relevant postgraduate clinical or education qualifications (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive recent experience in a mental health clinical setting, with a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering education, applying adult learning principles, and supporting workforce development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence using technology to support contemporary clinical education and a commitment to CCLHD’s strategic plan and annual priorities of; 'Trusted care. Better health for everyone.'
