About The Opportunity

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, you will provide expert clinical consultation, education and support to patients, families and healthcare professionals, while contributing to service development, quality improvement and the advancement of specialist nursing practice.
You will provide a complex and diverse nursing consultancy service to patients and health care teams across CCLHD that enables the provision of contemporary, high quality, person-centred clinical nursing practice related to Stomal Therapy. 
  
Key responsibilities
 

• Provide expert, patient-centred clinical assessment and management for patients requiring stomal therapy and related specialist care.
• Deliver specialist advice and consultation to multidisciplinary teams across CCLHD.
• Support patients and families through pre-operative, post-operative and ongoing stoma management.
• Provide education and clinical support to nursing and multidisciplinary staff to enhance knowledge and capability in stomal therapy.
• Promote evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research, education and service development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships across clinical services and the wider healthcare network.

 About You

You will be an experienced and passionate nurse who demonstrates:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or specialist experience in stomal therapy, wound management or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated experience utilising knowledge and advanced nursing skills in the assessment, care planning and provision of safe clinical care for patients with needs related to Stomal Therapy.
• A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment while demonstrating professional autonomy and clinical leadership.
• Holds a current NSW Drivers licence.
