This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist / Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar to join our Mental Health Inpatient Unit, providing vital psychological care as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes through independent assessment, treatment planning, and innovative models of care.
About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist / Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar, you will undertake comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, provide evidence-based psychological interventions, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality, recovery-oriented care to patients and their families at Gosford Hospital (you may also be required to work at Wyong Hospital at times). You will have the opportunity to progress through the Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar Program under supervision of experienced clinical neuropsychologists / clinical psychologists, or provide supervision for Masters students and registrars.
This role ensures high-quality patient care through its contribution to the multidisciplinary team, enhancing the overall patient experience in an acute inpatient mental health setting.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree in Psychology with AHPRA registration OR Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA
OR completing Master of Clinical Psychology within three months
OR eligibility to undertake registrar program for endorsement in clinical psychology. - Demonstrated experience in provision of evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment for adults with a broad range of mental health conditions.
- Ability to provide independent clinical judgement.
- Sound communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
