Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) are offering a unique opportunity for an Aboriginal Registered Nurse/Midwife to improve the health of Aboriginal families and community on the Central Coast, working hand-in-hand with local organisations and health providers.
About the Opportunity
This role provides an opportunity to contribute to stronger, healthier futures for Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast. As part of the WAVE (Working to Advance Vaccine Equity) Program, you’ll join a dedicated Public Health team focused on improving access to immunisation services and lifting vaccination rates. Working across both inpatient and outpatient settings, you will deliver education and vaccinations that protect the community and reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday (hours to be advised)

About You
Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship).
Knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, with an understanding of Aboriginal health needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment.
Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
