The Role
The Forensic Hospital provides secure mental health care for forensic and high risk civil patients. This position provides services across the Hospital and aims to improve the delivery of culturally sensitive and environmentally appropriate interventions to meet the health needs of Aboriginal people in the Forensic Hospital.
They will provide discipline specific, evidence-based services in the Forensic Hospital to support patients achieve goals and transition to the community in line with their clinical experience and award level.
Essential Requirements:
· Level 1 Allied Health professionals after 12 months clinical practice maybe required to provide supervision to undergraduate student on observational placements and to work experience students.
Level 2 Allied Health professionals are expected to have obtained respective new practitioner competencies and to perform duties in addition to those at Level 1; these may include supervising Level 1 health professionals and/or teaching and supervising undergraduate students.
· A recognised Allied Health tertiary qualification and appropriate registration and/or association eligibility.
· Current unrestricted NSW Driver License, and compliance with NSW Health employment and vaccination checks.
Our Location, Team, and Service
The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients.
A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.

*A mandatory and comprehensive two-week, full-time orientation is provided for all new staff at Forensic Hospital. All days are paid. The next intake date will be on 2nd February 2026.
