About the role:
This position plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality cardiac ultrasound diagnostics, supporting the broader Cardiology service for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Based within the Cardiology Unit at John Hunter Hospital, the role contributes to a comprehensive diagnostic network extending across John Hunter Hospital, Belmont Hospital, Maitland Hospital, and additional HNELHD facilities.
Working within a structured roster, the successful candidate will also participate in a weekend on-call service, ensuring continuity of care beyond standard operating hours. The cardiac physiology team is composed of professionals across a range of grades, expertise, and clinical interests, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment with exposure to the full spectrum of cardiac diagnostic services.
A thorough orientation and onboarding program will be provided to support a smooth transition into the role. Ongoing mentorship from senior clinicians, along with access to continuous professional development, structured training, and educational opportunities, ensures sustained growth, skill enhancement, and progression toward professional accreditation.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Undergraduate degree in Science or other similar area which includes human anatomy and physiology.
