About the Role:

We are seeking a Clinical Support Officer to join our Newcastle Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Community team. This specialist service works with young people aged 0-17 and their families/carers across the Hunter New England Local Health District who are experiencing complex and severe mental health challenges.

As part of our administration group, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the service. Reporting to the CAMHS Administration Manager, and working closely with the Clinical Coordinator and Service Manager, you’ll provide timely, accurate and confidential support that enables the clinical team to deliver high-quality care to young people and families.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to a large, multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate and document meetings, recruitment processes and rosters.
  • Support KPI reporting, data management and other service reporting needs.
  • Handle confidential issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families and staff.

 

About You:

You’re an experienced administrator who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You’re organised, proactive and able to juggle competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.


You must have:

  • Strong customer service skills to create positive experiences for patients, families and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and data reporting systems.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with practical problem-solving skills.
