About the opportunity

Join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the Patient Billing Standardisation Program. As a Business & Executive Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative, project governance and executive support to senior leaders, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time and in line with organisational objectives.

This is a dynamic role suited to a highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and enjoys working with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will coordinate governance activities, prepare executive-level documentation and reporting, monitor project progress, maintain project registers and dashboards, and serve as a central point of contact for project coordination.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing executive and project support within a large, complex organisation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent stakeholder engagement abilities, and a sound understanding of project governance practices. If you are detail-oriented, proactive and passionate about supporting meaningful organisational change, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Program

This is a transformative, statewide initiative to modernise patient billing across NSW Health. The program will consolidate ten legacy billing systems into a single, integrated platform, including digitisation of key admission processes. It will establish a new Patient Billing Statewide Shared Service to deliver consistent, standardised transactions, improve efficiency and data quality, and increase revenue through automation and better practice. The program also strengthens compliance with policy and legislation, positioning NSW Health to respond more effectively to future risks and system demands.

The role will sit within the Coordination & Management team and you will report to the Program Manager. The Program Coordination and Management function underpins successful delivery by supporting the executive sponsors with program sustainability, feasibility and governance. The team leads stakeholder engagement, oversees the benefits realisation framework, and manages budget performance and program delivery. It provides robust monitoring and reporting across projects, including risks, issues, interdependencies and requirements, ensuring informed decision-making and consistent program delivery.
