What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the SCHN Booking Clerk role is to understand the NSW Health Waiting Time and Ministry of Health (MOH) Elective Surgery Access Policy by ensuring all relevant data is entered on the waiting list system according to Policy standards.  

The role needs to safeguard all documentation and electronic data input to ensure it is accurate, legible and complete, and comply with local procedures/protocols for administrative processes that support this Policy. 

Effective communication with a range of stakeholders, including with clinicians and with patient carers, is often required.

  1. Demonstrated understanding of the Elective Surgery Access Policy.

     

  2. Previous hospital or medical clerical experience ideally within the management of elective patient management.
  3. Demonstrated customer service, conflict management and problem solving skills.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Excellent time management and organisational skills. This includes the ability to manage competing demands.
  6. Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail skills.
  7. Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
