About The Opportunity
SWSLHD is looking for a highly motivated Bone Marrow Transplant Quality Manager to enhance the Haematology Leadership Team across the District. The Bone Marrow Transplant Quality Manager will work closely with the District Haematology Director and the Clinical Manager Cancer Services.

It is envisaged that the appointment of a BMT quality manager will have the following key impacts for the BMT services currently and in the future of Liverpool Hospital and across the district especially considering the new services at Campbelltown and Bankstown Hospital are as follows.

  • Improve patient and carer experience with the SWSLHD being able to continue to provide bone marrow transplantation and expand to cellular therapies on site reducing the risk of delays in receiving life saving treatments, travel and costs associated with having to receive treatment outside of the LHD.
  • Improve clinical outcomes for SWSLHD patients.  
  • The Bone Marrow Quality Manager will process improvement ability to lead process improvement initiatives, process discovery, and sustainable implementation into operations through standardised workflows and clinical pathways.
  • Change Manage able to act as lead strategic change who drives an innovative culture of efficient improvements. Directly facilitates, support and coaching for value streams
  • Support the link between quality and value, with data being the key ingredient.
  • Accreditation and compliance.

 

What You'll Be Doing
The Quality Manager will facilitate all aspects of Clinical Quality Management that relate to Bone Marrow Transplant of the Department of Haematology. The scope of this role is to develop, implement, monitor. and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as they are applied to clinical practice within the BMT program.
