About the Opportunity

At Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital, you’ll be part of a supportive and close-knit team dedicated to helping patients regain independence, confidence and quality of life. Our 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, alongside outpatient and hydrotherapy services, provides care for people transitioning from acute care back to home and community living. Using a holistic, person-centred approach, you’ll work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals, patients and families to make a genuine difference in each patient’s recovery journey. As an Assistant in Nursing – Rehabilitation, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting patients with mobility, personal care and everyday activities under the guidance of Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses. Every day offers the opportunity to build meaningful connections while helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and celebrate milestones along the way. When activity at Wingham is lower, you’ll also have the chance to broaden your experience within Manning Base Hospital, supported by experienced nursing teams across both sites. This role offers a 7-day rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts, with opportunities for additional shifts, making it ideal for someone who is compassionate, motivated and passionate about rehabilitation and patient-centred care.
