About the role

Applications are invited from experienced and skilled Assistants in Nursing to join our dynamic team. You will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best patient-centred care for our Palliative Care patients.

These full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days/week) opportunities will be in our Palliative Care ward located at Braeside Hospital in Prairiewood. We offer applicants a stimulating workplace and a supportive team environment within the unit. Our staff are valued members of the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged to participate in all learning and development activities.

HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.

 


About you

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care with at least one years relevant work experience in a hospital, or
     
  • Second-year student in Bachelor of Nursing with at least 3 days per week availability and a desire to work in a Palliative Care ward Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
     
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
     
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
     
  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
     
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
