Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Our Nepean Emergency Department is seeking to engage Assistant In Nursing candidates to join their team as an Emergency Department Support Officer. On offer are full time or part time assignments working a rotating roster. The Emergency Department Support Officer ensures the provision of professional and courteous patient support service within the unit. Key duties also include maintaining clinical readiness and efficiency through re-stocking, equipment set-ups, episodic cleaning, and assisting with internal patient movement.

The successful incumbent will ensure and maintain a tidy environment for the unit and may be required to assist in transporting equipment. This position works with the multidiscipline team within the department and assist Registered Nurses in patient care activities such as, but not limited to, patient's daily living activities (e.g. feeding, showering, and pressure area care).
