About the Location

You’ll be based at Warialda, a small Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) with an Emergency Department (ED), Acute Ward, and Aged Care. The site offers free parking and a welcoming, supportive team environment, including a Transitional Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Educator. Warialda, known as the “Town of Honey,” has a positive culture where achievements are recognised and celebrated.

About the Role

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you’ll provide hands-on support to Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN), assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily activities for patients across the ED, Acute Ward, and Aged Care. This role provides flexible shift options (4 or 8 hour shifts) and the chance to develop skills in a variety of clinical areas. You’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, supported by the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP), and Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), who will provide guidance, mentorship, and orientation to help you succeed in your role.

About You
You are motivated, compassionate, and ready to make a positive impact on patient care. You will:

  • Hold Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing or be enrolled in an undergraduate nursing degree (first year completed) or TAFE Diploma of Nursing (completion of foundational units + 120 hours clinical placement)
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and sensitivity when interacting with patients
  • Listen, question, and respond to patient needs effectively
  • Act quickly and decisively in crisis situations
  • Work collaboratively in a team and manage conflicts professionally
  • Be confident, eager to learn, and committed to supporting patients and the team
