Fairfield Hospital is seeking enthusiastic, driven and determined Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our highly skilled and supportive team.

As part of our close‑knit facility, you will play a meaningful role in delivering safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care. Working within your Scope of Practice, you will demonstrate accountability for your clinical practice, participate in critical reflection, and actively engage in your ongoing professional development. You will feel confident escalating concerns appropriately and responding effectively to patients’ changing care needs.

With regular access to Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs) and experienced nursing staff, you’ll be encouraged and guided to achieve your career goals and reach your full potential.

UNDERGRADUATES PLEASE NOTE: It is essential that you have uploaded the following documents, if they are not provided your application will not be considered:

  • Proof of current enrolment into your next units
  • Full academic transcript
  • 2 x completed undergraduate clinical placements with signed assessments from the clinical facilitators and student/facilitator feedback (ANSAT Forms)

We are looking for caring and attentive individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

You will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people, including patients, nurses, medical staff and allied health professionals.

Comfortable taking direction from Registered Nurses, you will provide valuable support to the nursing team while always maintaining professionalism and compassion. 

 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Please confirm that you meet one of the following criteria: you either hold a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing) (and have attached a copy of your certificate), or you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing or Graduate Entry Master of Nursing (GEM) program and have successfully completed at least two semesters (one year full-time equivalent) and two clinical placements.
  • Detail how your skills and professional/educational background align with the requirements of the role, emphasising the value you intend to bring to the casual pool.
