Where You’ll Be Working
Join the committed and caring team at Barraba Multipurpose Service (MPS). Our modern 22‑bed rural facility provides a full range of services including aged care, sub‑acute inpatient care, emergency, community health and day centre programs.
At Barraba MPS, you’ll be part of a close‑knit, supportive team that values teamwork, communication and compassion, delivering safe, person‑centred care to patients and residents within the local community.
About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you’ll play a vital part in providing compassionate, person‑centred care to patients and residents across a variety of care settings. Working under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses, you’ll contribute to maintaining comfort, dignity and safety for all individuals in your care.
Your day may include:
✨Supporting patients and residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility and communication
✨Assisting nurses with clinical procedures and routine technical tasks
✨Maintaining tidy and safe environments, including equipment setup and cleaning
✨Recording patient information and contributing to handovers and care discussions
✨Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes

Essential Requirements:
⭐Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing), or
⭐Current enrolment in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and part of second year), or
⭐Current enrolment in a TAFE NSW Diploma of Nursing (completion of foundational units and at least 120 hours of clinical placement)
