What you'll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
About You
You present yourself as a capable and well‑prepared health services professional, someone who has built a strong foundation through formal training and hands‑on experience. You demonstrate the competence expected of a person who has successfully completed a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance—or who is progressing through a Bachelor of Nursing with at least a year of clinical training behind you. That background shows in the way you approach care: steady, attentive, and grounded in practical skill.
You show confidence in essential nursing tasks, from monitoring temperature, pulse and blood pressure to supporting patients with daily living activities. Your communication style reinforces that professionalism. You write clearly, speak with purpose and engage with others in a way that builds trust, whether you’re interacting with patients, families or colleagues.
You work comfortably under supervision and understand how to contribute within a multidisciplinary team, recognising when to step forward and when to escalate or seek guidance. Infection control isn’t just a requirement for you—it’s a standard you uphold consistently, applying precautions with the kind of awareness that keeps patients and staff safe.
Most importantly, you understand your scope of practice. You know where your responsibilities begin and end, and you operate within those boundaries with confidence and integrity. That awareness makes you reliable, safe and effective in any clinical environment.
If you want, I can refine this into a shorter profile, a résumé summary or a selection‑criteria response.
