Where you’ll be working
Werris Creek is a welcoming rural community approximately 40km from Tamworth, with a proud agricultural and railway heritage. The town offers a relaxed country lifestyle and strong connections to the surrounding farming communities and recreational/entertainment opportunities of Tamworth & Quirindi.

 

We are a small country Multi-Purpose Service with a dedicated team of health professionals caring for older people and those requiring palliative care within our local community.



What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide safe, respectful and compassionate care to residents within your scope of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Support residents with their daily care needs and promote their dignity, independence and wellbeing.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, carers and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient records to meet legislative requirements.

 


About You
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate health professional who is committed to providing the best possible care to our residents and support to their families and carers. You will be friendly, polite and courteous, with a genuine interest in working with older people and people requiring palliative care. 

Previous experience in aged care will be highly regarded.

 


Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing; or
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree, having completed first year and the first semester or trimester of second year; or
  • Currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diploma of Nursing, having completed the identified foundational units in practice and 80 hours of clinical placement.
