The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant in Nursing to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high quality support to patients and work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, respectful, and person centred care.

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will assist with daily living activities including personal care, mobility support, and meal assistance, while maintaining the dignity and comfort of each patient. You will help monitor patient wellbeing by observing and reporting changes, contributing to accurate documentation, and ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment at all times. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues will be essential to delivering positive outcomes and fostering a strong team culture.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to continuous learning. You will demonstrate empathy, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment.
