What you'll be doing
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide essential support to patients and the nursing team, ensuring safe, compassionate and efficient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal care, mobility, communication needs and routine clinical tasks to enhance patient comfort and support their daily functioning.
Assist with personal care, mobility and communication needs to support patient wellbeing
Provide nursing care within scope of practice and maintain accurate documentation
Support clinical procedures by setting up equipment and ensuring a clean environment
Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the healthcare team to promote positive outcomes
Participate in quality improvement, safety reporting and person-centred care initiatives

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
Evidence of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to use information technology systems.
Proven ability to be self-motivated, flexible and adaptive as clinical needs arise, and still remain within the scope of practice of an AIN
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi disciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values
Applicant must hold Certificate 111 Acute Care (HLT33115) or enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing degree second year.
