In 5B, we provide exceptional care for patients in an acute general medical ward. 5B is known for the kind and patient-centered care we provide. About the Opportunity
In this rewarding role at Maitland Hospital, you’ll play an important part as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), helping to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care to our patients. You’ll work as a valued member of a supportive multidisciplinary team, alongside Registered and Enrolled Nurses, allied health professionals, and medical staff who are all dedicated to delivering the very best care.

At Maitland Hospital, you’ll be supported every step of the way by dedicated ward educators and after-hours educators, ensuring you have the guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to continue building your skills and confidence.


What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (AIN) or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Nursing degree (completion of 1st year and at least the 1st semester/trimester of 2nd year) or equivalent experience.
  • A passion for providing safe, compassionate, patient-focused care.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts.
