About the role
Must have current enrolment in Bachelor of Nursing at a recognised education provider and completion of Year 1 of academic and clinical placement studies; or enrolment in Diploma of Nursing with a recognised education provider and completion of academic studies including first clinical placement.
Assists patients/ clients with activities of daily living and provide physical and psychological comfort and support, to assist them to meet their health needs. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, provides assistance with assessment, including a range of observations to improve understanding of the patient/ client's health status, as the basis for planning and Monitoring care.
Undertakes accurate collation and timely completion of health care information in relevant health care record systems, to ensure necessary information is available to meet legal requirements and guide ongoing care. Participates in a collaborative care model, communicating effectively with patients/ clients, carers and other healthcare team members/ colleagues regarding nursing care, to support outcomes which meet patient/ client needs.
Collaborates and assists with delivering nursing care to promote attainment of planned outcomes, in line with scope of practice, as delegated by the Registered Nurse. Parkes has a population of approx. 10,000 and is 100kms from Orange and 115kms from Dubbo. Parkes offers country living in a friendly town with all the services and amenities you need.
