Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Occupational Therapy Department
What you'll be doing
The position has a significant role in the administration of a substantial equipment loan pool. In addition, the position provides assistance and support to the occupational therapists in the delivery of an occupational therapy service to inpatients, outpatients and community clients. The clinical component may involve working with individuals or groups under the supervision of the treating occupational therapist.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD and Demonstrated understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising AHP.
Ability to learn and manage the many processes associated with a busy equipment loan pool.
