The successful candidate will provide valuable support to the Occupational Therapy team in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients. This support will occur under the direct, indirect, or remote supervision of an Occupational Therapist and in accordance with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District policies, procedures, and standards.
Allied Health Assistants in Occupational Therapy will be rostered on shifts of varying lengths, with start and finish times between 07:30 and 18:30, Monday to Sunday.

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed applicant to join our team as a permanent part-time Allied Health Assistant. We are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting clinicians and helping deliver high-quality care to our patients.
St George Hospital is currently developing a brand-new rehabilitation and aged care precinct, bringing together inpatient, day rehabilitation, and outpatient services in a purpose-built facility. This is an exciting time to join our Occupational Therapy teams as we introduce modern ways of working and continue to improve the patient experience. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a valuable role in supporting therapists, assisting with patient programs, and contributing to the smooth running of our services.

Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent work experience and a willingness to work towards certification with the support of SESLHD.
- Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy or a willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work with minimum supervision, to organise work priorities and manage time effectively
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
- Current Class C NSW drivers licence (or equivalent)
