Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

What you'll be doing
Provide basic client care, clinical duties and/or administrative support under direct, indirect or remote supervision of the delegating allied health professional (AHP) and in accordance with NSW Health and LHD policies and procedures to achieve patient/client outcomes in the community setting.   

About You
You are a compassionate and motivated Allied Health Assistant with a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualifications, bringing valuable experience supporting older adults and people with disability across hospital, community, and healthcare settings. You are committed to enhancing client wellbeing and independence by delivering high-quality support under the guidance of allied health professionals and contributing to positive health outcomes.

You have a strong understanding of the Allied Health Assistant role and are confident implementing delegated therapy programs, supporting client activities, and assisting with service delivery while maintaining safe practice within your scope of responsibility. Your ability to recognise when to seek guidance and escalate concerns ensures care is delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with professional standards.

A collaborative team member, you work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare environments and build positive relationships with clients, families, carers, and colleagues. Your excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills enable you to engage respectfully with diverse populations and contribute to coordinated, person-centred care.

Highly organised and dependable, you are skilled at managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and completing delegated tasks efficiently in busy clinical settings. With strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email applications, you are able to maintain accurate records and support administrative and clinical processes. Holding a current NSW Driver Licence, you are flexible and able to travel as required to support service delivery across a range of healthcare and community environments.
