About the role
The Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to patients/ clients of the WNSW Local Health District in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

You would have the ability to plan, implement and deliver activities that meet the needs of older people. The ability to communicate effectively with residents, clients, patients, family members and the wider health care team.

Hours are Monday to Friday 0930-1700.Typically the day consists of providing activities to residents be that in a group or in the residents room. A calendar of activities is developed monthly in consultation with the Health Service Manager. On Tuesday and Thursday’s community Day care is provided. This necessitates picking up clients and bringing them to Day care, undertaking activities as per calendar and transporting clients home at the end of the day.

The successful applicant will work closely with the other Diversional Therapists as well as the broader Blayney Nursing, Administration and Support Services Team.

Blayney has a well-structured orientation program which includes some supernumerary time and allocated time to complete Mandator training requirements. As a team of health care professionals our focus is on supporting you to provide excellence in care through the provision of educational opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge

Blayney is a small rural town that is growing in size. We are a very close-knit team that work together well to deliver excellent resident care. We are in the process of building a new hospital which will provide start of the art facilities for residents and staff.
