This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate clinician to play a key leadership role in improving health outcomes for older people. As an Aged Care Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), you will work across care settings to influence clinical practice, drive service improvement, and support patients and families through some of the most important healthcare decisions they will face. Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time experience in the specialty field. In addition, the employee must have approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public health organisation.
- Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research specialty.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency om the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of specialty education programs.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of complex and challenging behaviours including the development of appropriate behaviour management plans.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in client-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidence-based nursing care.
