This is an exciting opportunity to join the Patient Information Services Department Administration Team across multiple units at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
This position involves working afterhours and weekends only to support the service delivery of an intradepartmental team. The successful candidate will rotate between one week of 29 hours (3 afterhours weekday shifts and 2 weekend days) and a second week of 9 hours (2 afterhours weekday shifts). They will work alongside another afterhours supervisor. The weekday shift time is 17:00-21:30 and the weekend shift time is 09:00-17:15.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently, using their initiative to solve problems that originate from cross-disciplinary origins, have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interpret and analyse data in order to conduct imperative facility data corrections.

Ideal Candidate
- Strong ability to lead teams across various areas to achieve performance and service related goals.
- High level of leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including staff.
- Excellent knowledge, skills and experience in the use of computer applications, such as client data bases as well other all Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to learn and understand the financial process of electing privately insured patients and its importance in the healthcare setting.
