About the Opportunity 
Join a leadership team that makes a difference—especially after hours. We are looking for an experienced and motivated After Hours Nurse Manager (Grade 3) to provide strategic clinical leadership and operational oversight during non-standard hours. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the senior point of contact across the facility, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred, and high-quality care continues seamlessly outside regular working hours.

As a visible and respected clinical leader, you will inspire and support multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital, confidently navigating complex clinical and operational challenges with professionalism. You will lead and mentor nursing and clinical staff, fostering capability through coaching, role modelling, and ongoing professional development. Your role will also involve maintaining effective communication across departments and executive management, managing patient flow, responding to critical incidents, and upholding clinical safety. A strong commitment to professional standards, codes of conduct, and NSW Health policies will be essential to your success in this role.

What You'll be Doing
The Nurse Manager participates in or is responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services in a management unit, service, complex function or facility to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital.   1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Relevant post graduate qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
