Where you'll be working
From Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms. That’s 5,687 square kms of beautiful beaches, coastal cycling tracks, lush rainforests, incredible bushwalks and friendly people. The region is also host to many annual food, wine and arts festivals and events.
What you'll be doing
To provide effective Mental Health services to the patients under supervision, while developing expertise in psychiatric practice, in a complex clinical environment. Whilst undertaking learning and professional development activities with the aim of progressing to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
- Completion of at least four years full time equivalent hospital experience
- Demonstrated commitment to psychiatry training and having completed or due to complete three years FTE of RANZCP accredited training
- Demonstrated an understanding of RANZCP stage 3 training and has identified how they propose to complete all training requirements
- Demonstrated an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrates professional behaviour towards staff, patients and carers
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
