What you'll be doing
This position is for Haematology trainees in clinical, laboratory, or joint roles. Clinical trainees manage patients with haematological conditions under specialist supervision, including transplant patients at some centres, and provide inpatient, outpatient, and consultation services. Laboratory trainees liaise with scientific staff, interpret and report investigations, develop protocols, provide transfusion advice, perform bone marrow biopsies, attend clinics, support new test development, and assist with bone marrow harvests. 

Applicants must specify clinical, laboratory, or joint training, rank preferred NSW locations, and are encouraged to discuss the program with network directors before applying. New applicants should demonstrate pathology experience or commitment to haematology, and current trainees must show satisfactory progress.

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to Haematology Advanced Training program.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
  4. Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated involvement in patient safety and clinical quality improvement activities.
