About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The Admissions Officer provides timely and efficient administrative and clerical support to The Perioperative Unit (TPU) and Endoscopy Unit with strong and empathetic focus on professional customer service delivered in the same manner. This position may also require for the holder to be flexible to provide administrative support to other areas of Patient Elections, The Pre-Admission Unit (PAU) and Bookings if required.

Positions Available:
- 1 x Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster, with shifts commencing 6:00am, 6:30am, and 8:45am
- Shifts will be 8 hours duration plus lunch break
- 1 x Permanent Part Time, 24 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday
- Rotating roster, with shifts commencing between 6:00am and 10:45am
- Shifts will be 6 hours duration plus lunch break
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to function as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department and organisational benchmarks and KPIs.
- Computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills or knowledge of hospital information systems of similar client database system.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn health insurance usage and the benefits within the public health sector.
