THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, the Administrative Support Officer – Projects role is designed to offer specific administrative support across the broad range of key delivery areas and may work in any of the strategic assignments aligned with the portfolio.

Work Type:       Full time; 38 hours per week Contract up to 30 June 2026 (continuation subject to ongoing funding)

Location:          Carramar

Salary:              Administrative Officer Level 6. A generous salary packaging scheme is also offered.

Vaccination Requirement: Category B

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT

  1. Demonstrated administrative and project support skills, with experience coordinating tasks across administration, travel, infrastructure, workplace health and safety (WHS), procurement, and human resources (HR) functions. 

  2. Proven ability to contribute to service improvement, including implementing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

  3. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.

  4.  Experience providing executive event support, including meeting coordination, briefing materials, and logistics. Well-developed research and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports, presentations, and data to support decision-making.

  5.  Ability to train, mentor, and guide junior staff, supporting capability development and consistent delivery of project objectives.

  6.  Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to monitor progress, manage competing priorities, and proactively address risks or delays while working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within a multicultural environment.

  7. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and extensive proven experience, knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel and other business systems to support administration, reporting, and project delivery.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Current NSW Driver's Licence.
  2. First Aid Certificate.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

**This role is a Category B role. While it is strongly recommended that employees be vaccinated for COVID-19, influenza, and other transmissible diseases, it is not mandatory to have these vaccinations.
