About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

  

This role is critical frontline administrative positions supporting RPA Radiology in the main building, as well as the satellite sites at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and the Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics (IRO). This position delivers essential face-to-face support to patients, including appointment registration, responding to general and clinical enquiries, such as the escalation of reports required for patient care and assisting healthcare providers and teams with various administrative needs. Key responsibilities also include coordinating and booking of imaging appointments for outpatients, ensuring alignment with their clinical care plans. Imaging services managed through this role include Interventional and Neurointerventional procedures, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and X-rays.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working in a similar support role in a health setting environment, including reception, bookings and telephone enquiries as an effective team member.
  • Has a broad understanding of health and medical terminology.
  • Motivated, able to demonstrate initiative in relation to known work procedures and work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible days for part time employees.
