About the Role

Drug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse. Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community. Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres. Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.
 
The Administrative Officer provides a comprehensive range of reception and administration duties including front line services to all patients within Drug Health Services. The Administration Officer team supports the DHS Management Team, as well as Staff Specialists and clinical staff, to ensure the efficient and effective running of the department and maintain high professional standards for DHS.

Ideal Candidate

  • Certificate 3 in Health Administration or equivalent experience and typing skills 40-50wpm.
  • Excellent communication and personal skills with an ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Experience in administration, accounts and reception duties, demonstrated by the implementation and maintenance of administrative office systems.
