POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Randwick Parenting Centre, Integrated Care
OPERATIONAL BASE: Randwick
STATUS: Contracted Part-time – 6 hours per week
HOURS: 1 day per week – 8.30am – 3.00pm (6 hours per day)
CLASSIFICATION: Administration Officer Level 2A
VACCINATION CATEGORY: A - High Risk (including influenza Vaccinations)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director Clinical Services, Karitane via Service Manager
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Administration Assistant to job share the administrative role at Karitane Parenting Centre in Randwick.
PURPOSE
This role is a shared administrative position that provides one day per week of dedicated support to Clinical staff. The role is responsible for delivering high quality customer service through regular client contact and proactive communication. It ensures the efficient and timely coordination of a range of administrative functions, including managing queries, scheduling appointments, organising resources, and maintaining a safe and orderly working environment.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA ( each criteria below must be addressed in your cover letter)
1. Secretarial/ Administration Experience
2. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Demonstrated computer skills utilising Microsoft Office Programs
4. Ability to work as part of a team.
5. Experience in data entry
6. Experience using Health Database Systems e.g. Patient Administration System (PAS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or willingness to learn same
7. Experience in preparing correspondence and reports
8. Demonstrated organisational & prioritisation skills
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Various employment status is in accordance with the Named NSW (Non - Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement. Shift times and days may be varied according to the needs of the organisation. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area and across NSW.
The majority of Karitane services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.

VACCINATIONS
• Category A workers are required to meet and maintain the vaccination criteria (as per the current NSW Health policy directive) including annual influenza vaccinations. At least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful. Annual Influenza vaccinations are mandatory.
